In Between Worlds

Jason Vale crossed the center line on a wet road in October and killed a man.He woke up three months later, having lived an entire year.In Millbrook he had a garage, a stool with his name on it, and Lily - a nurse who put six stitches in his hand and told him he was welcome to cry. And eight patients have died on that ward in fourteen months - all the same way, all within a week of a quiet conversation with their families.Nobody will believe him. He has a brain injury, a psychiatric file and a court date. The one doctor who could prove he is right has spent fourteen months not opening a drawer. He has nine days.In Between Worlds is a novel about the places we build when we have nowhere else to go, and what it costs to leave them.
