The implementation of development projects and programs today faces several challenges that primarily concern improving project performance-in particular, achieving development results at the beneficiary level. From this perspective, results-based monitoring and evaluation is an indispensable tool. Furthermore, it is currently used by many development agencies. To this end, this book addresses monitoring and evaluation from the perspective of Results-Based Management, as practiced within the United Nations Development Program's Governance Support Program in Côte d'Ivoire. Specifically, it presents an in-depth analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of its monitoring and evaluation system.
