This study investigates whether implicit orthography training (ImplOrth) can improve the reading and spelling skills of pupils with learning and intellectual disabilities aged between 10 and 15. 'Im-plOrth' is a word-picture training programme (WOBIT training), in which the task involves using the computer mouse to match a written word with the corresponding picture. The present findings confirm the influence of implicit statistical learning on the reading and spelling skills of children with learning and intellectual disabilities who are capable of attending school.
