I'd K!ll For You: The Bruised Edition: 5

Written as the third lens in the I'd K!ll For You collection, the Bruised Edition sits between survival and silence-where memory stops being dramatic and starts becoming routine. These poems move through emotional residue: heartbreak that didn't heal cleanly, identity that fractured under pressure, and love that left marks it never apologized for. This is not closure. It's continuation with scars.Across 12 poems, the voice shifts between reflection and confession-sometimes sharp, sometimes numb, always honest. It explores what it means to keep going when healing doesn't feel like healing, when growth still carries damage, and when the past doesn't fade so much as it reshapes the present. If Blood Edition is the explosion and Ice Edition is the silence, then Bruised Edition is what happens when you live long enough inside both. For readers of modern confessional poetry, emotional realism, and raw spoken-word style writing that doesn't sanitize pain or dress it up as inspiration. This is not about getting better. It's about what you become when you don't fully break-but you don't fully escape either.
