I AM A MARINE: Proud to Serve

What does it mean to proudly serve as a Marine? From preparing before sunrise and completing an obstacle course to checking equipment and helping communities, Marines rely on courage, responsibility, and teamwork every day. I Am a Marine introduces young readers to a day in the Marine Corps through warm, age-appropriate storytelling and colorful illustrations. Children will discover that Marines perform many important jobs. They repair vehicles, transport supplies, prepare meals, communicate by radio, care for others, and travel by land, sea, and air. Along the way, readers learn that no Marine works alone. Every task requires preparation, cooperation, and people who are willing to help one another. Even when service takes a Marine far from home, the love and encouragement of family remain close. Created for children ages 3-7, this reassuring picture book presents military service without focusing on combat. Instead, it celebrates hard work, learning, helping others, and taking pride in doing your best. Perfect for military families, classrooms, libraries, and young readers curious about the people who serve. A warm introduction to service, teamwork, and responsibility from the Proud to Serve series.
