How I Lost My Pen ...And Lived: Poetic Revivals

What happens when you Lose what you Treasure Most? What happens when your desire to Live and Express yourself, a part of your personality that is most creative, is stifled in its ability to "say what it wants to say"? These are poems that also express the dilemma of What is Modern and What is Traditional, yet Classic... Can we divorce ourselves from culture that is, in totality, what we Lived and Accepted as our own? Should society today with its upheavals, modernity, and the political drive (including the impact of "Other Cultures" that one associates with, as well) rob your creative expression? To stop "categorizing poetry" and cultural idiom, translated into the idiom of another culture, and language, is a very good way of "Keeping Alive (linguistic) and Poetic Heritage". A final tribute: a few new, original poems, in Indian language, with translations by the poet himself.
