Honor Roll of Lies

Evan Holloway thinks he's the perfect father. A devoted dad. A beloved teacher. The fun parent his children would rather be with. His ex-wife, Megan, knows better. Six months after Evan walks out on his family, he's determined to destroy Megan in court, painting her as an unstable mother who can't be trusted with their children. But when Evan is found brutally murdered, the battle over custody becomes something far more sinister. The police quickly discover that Evan had enemies everywhere. Parents who accused him of crossing boundaries with their children. A teenage son furious over the way he treated his mother. A younger son carrying secrets no child should ever have to keep. And a family desperate to believe Evan's death is finally the end of their nightmare. Then fourteen-year-old Daniel confesses to killing his father. The case should be over. But Detective Brooks isn't convinced. As the investigation digs deeper into Evan's life, disturbing secrets begin to surface-and Daniel's fractured memories suggest he wasn't alone the night his father died. Someone else was there. Someone Daniel knows. Someone who made sure Evan could never hurt another child. Now, as the truth begins to emerge, Megan must face the possibility that the person responsible for her family's nightmare may be much closer than she ever imagined. Because Evan Holloway wasn't the man everyone thought he was. And the truth about his murder may be even more dangerous than the lie.
