Thirty-one years ago, country music legends and dear friends Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, KrisKristofferson and Willie Nelson joined forces as the supergroup The Highwaymen. Frequently referred to as "the Mount Rushmore of country music", The Highwaymen were American country music's first bona fide supergroup, an epic quartet comprised of the outlaw country genre's pioneering stars. After their first two studio albums, and a sold-out tour of the US, The Highwaymen performed one of their biggest shows at Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, New York, on March 14, 1990.
