Harry The Hedgehog: Gena & Lila

Whimsical, beautifully illustrated, and full of heart...! This edition contains two books - Harry - is a delightful children's story that perfectly captures the magic of friendship and community. The story follows the adorable Harry the Hedgehog and his mischievous best friend, Cyril the Squirrel, who is the hero in the second book - Cyril. Collectively, they try to solve mysteries in the forest, involving a magical, glowing Blue Tree that is making all the local animals act completely goofy...! In the second book, Cyril - the gang save the forest animals from a possible flood. It's a heart-warming story of note...! What I love most about these books is how they seamlessly sneak in fun & real-life educational facts about squirrels and hedgehogs (like how their quills are made of keratin) right alongside the whimsical fantasy elements. The characters are incredibly endearing. The settings, like the Starlight Route, are beautifully imaginative, and the pacing is perfect for readers aged 6 to 12. It carries a wonderful, gentle message about teamwork and helping your neighbours when they are in a pinch. It makes for a fantastic bedtime read-aloud or a cozy independent read. Highly recommended for any young adventurer's bookshelf...!
