Gunn

The first of a series of books that introduce Walter Gunn an ordinary man or so he thought one of many in the British Expeditionary Force on mainland Europe. Volunteered for a mission just as the phony war ends, Gunn, like most of the BEF, finds himself overtaken by the quickly advancing German army. Wounded by a single shot to the head retreating towards Dunkirk, Gunn's life changes as he begins to experience the unexpected abilities and powers unleashed by one bullet to his brain. Returning to England, Gunn attempts to shield his growing powers from two suspicious British army doctors and faces a new reality, struggling to return to his regiment and ultimately the war. With the aid of his newfound abilities Gunn finally succeeds, returning to France on D-Day to fight across Europe to wars' end where a shocking revelation, that even he couldn't predict, awaits him.
