Growing Up with Maureen: Challenged, Loving, Grieving, Awakening

Two parents, both ministers, mediums, and chiropractors, look back at the childhood of their medically fragile daughter. At the birth of their second child, Barney and Barbara Thomas knew she was ill and might not survive. Maureen was diagnosed with a thyroid deficiency and an insulin deficiency. Everyone caring for her was baffled. Finally, Maureen began to gain and hold onto a little weight with insulin injections and thyroid medication. After seven weeks in neonatal care, Maureen was just over five pounds and ready to go home. While she continued to battle health problems, as the years passed, her family began to think she'd have a future to navigate. But on the day her brother was to graduate high school, Maureen died - and almost immediately, she began to come through from the spirit side in wonderful ways.
