Green and Sustainable Electric Discharge Machining

Electric Discharge Machines (EDM) play a pivotal role in manufacturing across a wide range of industries, including electronics, medical, and aerospace. EDM is applicable for machining modern materials such as metal matrix composites (MMC), alloys, nanomaterials, ceramics, and other difficult-to-cut substances. Notably, EDM allows for machining without direct tool-to-workpiece contact, which eliminates shear stress on the tool, reduces vibrations, and achieves excellent surface finishes.
