WOLF, ARE YOU THERE?A forceful thriller in which victim and criminal might very well be one and the same.Jerome Burnet has two passions: his teaching job and Muriel, his mistress, married much too young to a famous surgeon. On the first day of school, Jerome recognizes his childhood sweetheart Caitlin among the students' parents. Before classes begin, he receives a threatening phone call from Henri Wilson, Muriel's husband, who orders him to come to his home. As soon as Jerome arrives, he is slugged from behind and loses consciousness. He wakes up in his own house with no memory of what happened. Later he learns that Muriel has disappeared and that Wilson has been murdered. A witness declares he saw Jerome on the Wilson property on the day of the crime. Jerome is arrested and accused of murder. The accusations against Jerome are mounting as he appears responsible for several other recent murders in the area. Caitlin struggles to bring the truth to light before Jerome loses his mind.
