Meningiomas are extra-parenchymal tumors that develop from arachnoid cells. They account for around 20% to 30% of all intracranial tumors of all types. These tumors can develop aggressively (grade II and grade III meningiomas). Grade III and especially grade II meningiomas are rare, little studied tumors, which pose management problems for clinicians due to their aggressiveness and/or recurrence. Surgery is the first line of treatment. Cerebral radiotherapy and, more rarely, chemotherapy may be therapeutic weapons, but are still debated.
