In a small conservative town where drag is seen as sinful, a group of drag queens decides they're done with hiding. Led by Cherry Boom-Boom, the troupe performs in a dilapidated bar, pouring their frustrations into acts that lampoon local politicians and preachers. Despite their biting satire, the queens face systemic injustices: hate crimes go unpunished, queer youth are homeless, and their only safe space faces eviction. When Cherry, a bank teller by day, is denied a loan she helped process for wealthy clients, the group snaps. They decide to rob the bank where she works, turning their subversive performances into full-blown heists.
