Gender and Migration

Migration has become a key area of preoccupation for governments, international agencies and human rights activists the world over. This book argues, however, that studies of migration have become too limited in scope, focusing on the policy demands of governments and humanitarian agencies. Provocative and intellectually challenging, Gender and Migration critically analyses how gender has been taken up in studies of migration and its theories, practices and effects.
