Frustration

Josh Carr has traded his lacklustre musical theatre career for his aunt's weatherboard house and the quiet routine of running her small-town café. But when his best friend Annie disappears, Josh is certain the mayor is involved. The police are firmly on the mayor's side, and Josh's stage background is no help when someone he loves is missing. Denise, the sharp-eyed bar owner, brings in Noah, a former detective with his own shadows. Together, Josh and Noah push through a town full of secrets. The mayor insists Annie left by choice. Her boss is a chicken-obsessed creep, and the local apple grower patrols his orchards with a shoot-first attitude. A risky break-in at the mayor's office finally reveals a clue. The town's past hints that history is repeating, and if that is true, Josh and Noah are running out of time. They must uncover the truth before Annie is lost forever.
