This book presents a comprehensive and contemporary exploration of the evolution of psychotherapy from eclectic approaches toward integrative psychotherapy, highlighting the theoretical, philosophical, and clinical foundations of both orientations. We demonstrate how modern psychotherapy has progressively shifted from rigid single -approach models toward more flexible and holistic frameworks capable of addressing the complexity of human psychological functioning. Then, we distinguished between eclectic psychotherapy, which select techniques from different therapies based mainly on practical effectiveness, and integrative psychotherapy, which systematically combines theories and methods within a coherent framework. The book presents the major models of integrative psychotherapy, including technical eclecticism, theoretical integration, assimilative integration, and the common factors approach. It also highlights the importance of the therapeutic alliance, empathy, and individualized treatment in promoting psychological change. Ultimately, the book argues that integrative psychotherapy represents the future of mental health practice.
