Subtitled: The 175th Anniversary Illustrated Directory of Lifeboats and Lifeboat Stations of Britain and Ireland. The RNLI is amongst those rare organizations that is dear to the hearts of the nation. Their role is held in the highest esteem; 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, over 200 lifeboat stations stand by to respond when the call comes. The lifeboat service will be in the public eye throughout 1999, as special events are held up and down the country to celebrate the anniversary. This volume will be a unique tribute to these brave men and women.
