This book is the second part of a quartet designed to promulgate a reverence for life, the ethos that all life is possessed of innate worth, that our sacred duty as mankind is stewardship of all animals, all life. In this volume we perform a trial run by applying the ethos to certain situations of animal abuse. Together we'll scrutinize each such situation and slowly but inexorably proceed from practical application to spiritual embodiment, from a formulaic administering of a reverence for life to an interiorization of the ethos. Our objective is simple in theory, complicated in practice: that formal application of this credo is less and less the norm. It need not be applied. It is simply lived.
