FOOTBALL AND TEAM LEADERSHIP

Six football players. Ten expected families. Four days. How hard could it be?When a natural disaster forces families from a coastal community to evacuate, Mason and five of his teammates volunteer their town stadium as a temporary emergency shelter. They expect to provide a few families with food, blankets and a warm place to sleep. Then the buses begin arriving.Questions come faster than answers. Supplies disappear into different rooms. Every player works harder, but the harder they work, the more confused everything becomes. With three more buses only forty minutes away, the team must discover whether the skills that bring them together on the football field can help them face a challenge none of them prepared for.Filled with humour, faith and familiar characters, Football and Team Leadership is a fictional story about preparation, communication, shared responsibility and learning when to lead, follow, ask for help and taking shelter. The story concludes with Scripture-guided reflections for personal and team leadership.
