When she got Alzheimer's she wanted me to come home and stay with her. I had ordered flowers for her and gave them to her to announce that I was home to stay. She was overjoyed and cried, but she didn't know me the next day. I planted flowers everywhere to encourage her to walk outside with me. When she passed away it was April, and I took daffodils. Now I raise a purple flower high in her memory in the Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's.
