While working on a big, difficult book for grownups on big ideas, Klaus came up with the idea of writing a simple, short book on the same topics, addressed to himself - back in 1966, at the age of eight. This is how and why he wrote it: "Almost every sentence in this little book was guided by asking: How can my adult knowledge best be formulated in clear, simple language I would have understood at the age of eight? What do I now, as a mature adult, dearly wish I had known back then - which could have helped me in my following years? What could I have benefited from of philosophical ideas in my youth - until I could read big, difficult books for grownups?" This little book contains old Klaus' explanations to his young self. It is great for all smart kids who want to understand the world - so they can best live in it.
