Can young children see things that adults can't see? They can, especially at Christmas! It's the first Christmas Eve on the Bethlehem hillsides. It's also the first night that a young shepherd boy named Aviv joins his father Eli and the other shepherds to watch over the sheep. Suddenly the skies fill with blinding light. Angels fill the sky with singing and dancing, telling the shepherds not to be afraid. But they are terrified! As the angels dance, something falls to earth, but only Aviv can see it. No one believes him, not even his father! It also falls into a stable in Bethlehem, creating a sanctuary of light. Every Christmas Eve, the angels return. Something falls to earth again, but only young children can see it. Adults sense that something is falling from the heavens, but this only happens when they sing the songs of Christmas. Give the gift of wonder this season.
