This work presents the results of the effects of mastectomy surgery on women undergoing outpatient psychoanalytic treatment. In particular, it discusses the effects of this medical intervention on female sexuality. Why do women not address the subject of death in their clinical consultations, but rather issues related to body image and sexuality?
