Eyes Wide Open: A Layman's Journey

What if the things you were told were "make-believe" were only invisible because you stopped believing in them?As children, we are introduced to worlds filled with unicorns, fairies, dragons, leprechauns, magic, mystery, and possibility. Then, somewhere along the way, we are taught to dismiss what we cannot explain. But what if life is far stranger, richer, and more mysterious than we have been led to believe? In Eyes Wide Open, Ed Dwyer shares a collection of personal stories drawn from a lifetime of unusual encounters, synchronicities, spiritual experiences, dreams, intuition, and moments that seem to exist just beyond the boundaries of ordinary explanation. The inspiration for sharing them came from a friend who once told Ed he was one of the richest men she knew. He laughed and pointed out that his bank account could use a few more zeroes. She wasn't talking about money. She was talking about the extraordinary experiences that had filled his life. That conversation forced him to see his own story differently. Perhaps the real wealth was in the journey itself - the strange coincidences, unexpected messengers, moments of knowing, unexplained connections, and experiences that made him stop and wonder whether there was far more happening around us than most people ever notice.Ed believes we are all born with abilities that are often dismissed early in life. We are told what we cannot see, hear, feel, or know. We begin the journey as apprentices with an empty spiritual toolbox, and experience slowly gives us the tools.Eyes Wide Open is not an attempt to tell you what to believe. It is an invitation to become curious again. To pay attention. To question coincidence. To listen to intuition. To consider that perhaps believing sometimes comes before seeing. These stories are Ed's invitation to walk through life with your eyes a little wider open and your sense of wonder intact. Some may make you say "Ooooh."Some may make you say "Wow."And every now and then, you may simply say: "What the hell?"Happy trails - until we meet in dream time.
