Essentials of Modeling Large Scale Physical Systems: A Holistic Overview

Nature repeatedly reveals itself by having remarkably few number of laws to govern its manifold functions. It is this admirable property of conciseness and clarity which should permeate any model claiming to describe natural phenomena. The book, "Essentials of Modeling Large Scale Physical Systems - A Holistic Overview", seeks to highlight precisely the above qualities in modeling large scale systems. The systems considered are: - The four forces of Nature- Hot Big Bang Model of the Universe- Standard Model of Particle Physics- Cosmological observations and their measurements- Genetic Modeling and Gene Therapy- Unification of Electrostatic and Electromagnetic models- Maxwell's equations- The Wave equationsA step by step approach delineating the various stages of modeling is described. The book offers a non-scientist, a holistic world view of the entire modeling process, covering some of the most important phenomenon occurring in nature.
