ESCAPE FROM EVIL

Beloved of the Most High, hearken unto a mystery that hath been sealed in two scriptures - one a prayer prayed in a garden, the other a promise proclaimed from a throne. Between these two pillars standeth the whole architecture of our deliverance.Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the night of His betrayal, lifted His eyes unto heaven and prayed: "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil" (John 17:15, KJV).And the Spirit, speaking through the seer of Patmos, declared: "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Revelation 21:4, KJV).Behold the bookends of redemption. The first scripture is the Prayer of Preservation; the second is the Promise of Perfection. The first keepeth us in the midst of evil; the second taketh us out of evil for ever. The first is the shield in the battle; the second is the crown after the battle.What I declare unto thee in this exposition is this: there exists an Axis of Evil - a fivefold confederacy of darkness - and the Lamb of God hath already pronounced its sentence.
