CXD 688 LLB - XD-15 Ceramic-Hybrid, ABEC-5, radial bearing - (C3 clearance) - 8mm x 16mm x 5mm - The ultimate upgrade - An Enduro Bearings exclusive, our XD-15 Ceramic-Hybrid bearings combine corrosion-proof, cryogenically treated nitrogen steel races with Silicon Nitride Grade 5 ceramic balls in a proprietary process that results in the ultimate high performance bearing setup. The deep-groove design raceways allow for maximum sized Grade 5 Silicon Nitride ceramic balls for for increased contact area and improved performance and longevity. Dual-lip labyrinth (LLB) seals protect from the elements, and contain the 90% fill Kluber NBU52 grease that runs smoother with time and is highly resistant to being washed out. The most impressive feature of XD-15 ceramic-hybrid bearings is, unlike other bearings, they only get better with time and use. As the bearings wear-in, the super-hard ceramic balls actually make the XD-15 races even smoother. So, when compared to other ceramic-hybrid bearings on the market that claim speed and power advantages on day one, Enduro XD-15 bearings not only provide the same initial advantages on day one, but will become faster and smoother with time and use, while the other ceramic-hybrid options will only get slower. We are so confident in the performance of XD-15 Ceramic-Hybrid bearings that they carry a limited lifetime warranty against wear and corrosion. - This bearing is used primarily in lightweight hubs, pedals, derailleur pulleys and in some full suspension designs though the MAX-type version of this bearing is better suited for pivot applications. The Enduro line of bearings are available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. ABEC 3: Een normwaarde die gebruikt wordt voor het meten van de wtolerantie van het oppervlak van de rollagers. Er zijn vijf klasses: 1, 3, 5, 7 en 9. Hoe hoger de ABEC klasse hoe groter de precisie, efficiëntie en snelheidscapaciteit, maar de hoogste ABEC klasses zijn niet noodzakelijk de snelst roterende onderdelen. Alle kwaliteitsproducenten over de hele wereld maken gebruik van minstens de ABEC 1 als standaard. Bij Enduro is de minimale norm ABEC 3. ABEC 3: Stalen kogels Graad 10. Baan in een legering van chroom 52100 en hoogwaardig koolstof. ABEC 3 standaard. Afhankelijk van hun toepassing, deze lagers gebruiken LLU of LLB dichtingen; zelfs wanneer ze gemarkeerd worden met 2RS. LLB : Onze meest populaire afdichting, bestaande uit een rubberen afwerking met een metale kern. In tegenstelling tot de standaard 2RS, gaan wij een beetje verder door het machinaal plaatsen van een inkeping in de binnenste ring, daar waar de dichting kan draaien met een prima efficiëntie en een weerstand tov een mindere lager. Eerder dan een enkele «lip» van een dikke afdichting die schuurt tegen een oneffen oppervlak, maakt het type LLB gebruikt 2 lippen van afdichtingen, fijn zoals een scheermesje dat glijdt in een inkeping met een licht contact. De buitenste «lip» houdt water en onzuiverheden buiten, terwijl de binnenste dichting het vet behoudt voor een soepele rotatie en lange intervallen tussen de onderhoudsbeurten.
