Embracing Animals for a Better Tomorrow

Animals connect without words. When words are hard to find and communication is stifled, animals can bridge the gap. They reawaken communication while teaching adolescents valuable skills such as kindness and respect for life.As today's youth face unprecedented pressure in our technology-driven world, animals help them learn to thrive. Whether you are an educator, parent, therapist, or involved in animal welfare, Embracing Animals for a Better Tomorrow offers valuable insight into the positive outcomes of adolescent and animal friendships. By recording observed animal interactions, Lynn Connell Olenik shares enriching and educational stories of the transformation animals inspire and provides practical ideas and blueprints to help you pursue this type of work-whether with one challenged teen, a classroom, or an entire organization. While the concept of humane education is not new, it is needed. With each connection, youth learn valuable, life-long lessons, finding hope and companionship when they need it most.
