This study examines the impact of credit risk management on the financial profitability of COFINA Côte d'Ivoire. Credit risk is a major source of vulnerability for financial institutions, especially those that finance SMEs. The study aims to understand how effective management of this risk influences COFINA CI's financial performance. It identifies the main determinants of credit risk and analyzes the risk management mechanisms in place. The impact on financial profitability is assessed primarily through return on equity (ROE). The methodology combines a literature review with an empirical analysis of the institution's internal data. The expected results show that effective credit risk management enhances profitability and financial stability, while suggesting improvements for risk management in mesofinance in West Africa.
