Nephrotoxicity is a side effect of many drugs, it may be yielded by other factors too. Linum usitatissimum Linn.(Flax seeds) has many proved pharmacological benefits, here the neuroprotective effect of linum usitatissimum has been evaluated. To evaluate same, different renal function tests were performed like serum creatinine, Blood Urea Nitrogen, serum uric acid, serum calcium, serum magnesium, urine inorganic phosphate, urine oxalate level, urine citrate level. Along with these parameters, renal histology was also performed. Gentamicin was used to induce nephrotoxicity and Enalapril was used as a standard drug.
