Economic development used to be associated with strong government, even authoritarian regime, in Indonesia. However, after the crisis in 1998, Indonesia political system has transformed into democracy in a very short time. General election, and direct presidential election, have been run quite peaceful with credibility. At the same time, economic development is continued to be pushed forward.
