Divergent Paths

Divergent PathsDetective Inspector Killian Huntsman is living the life that has always been expected of him. When he goes back to work after a long period on sick leave, nothing is as it was before. On the surface, he has a promising career in the police force ahead of him. He has a pregnant fiancée at home waiting for an engagement ring and a future that already seems mapped out. Everything seems to be just perfect. But then he is assigned to keep an eye on the Uranus nightclub and its charismatic owner, Dominic Deveraux. At first, he sees it as just another assignment. In reality, it is the beginning of something entirely different. From the moment Killian steps into Dominic's world, everything changes. Killian finds it increasingly difficult to hold on to the person he used to be. To cling to the life he has left behind. The life he has allowed others to shape for him. For the first time, he finds himself amongst the people he meets - people who accept him without demands, without pretence and without conditions. But every choice has a price. When duty is pitted against love, loyalty against freedom, and his family's expectations against who he truly is, Killian is forced to a crossroads from which there is no turning back. How much is he prepared to lose in order to finally live his own life? For who is he when he is forced to face himself?
