Frederic Brenner spent twenty-five years traveling the world to document the lives of Jews in more than forty countries on five continents. The result is Diaspora: Homelands in Exile, a landmark two-volume book of photographs and essays and the first visual anthology of the Jewish Diaspora. Volume One features 264 of Brenner's photographs. Witty, sad and moving, they document a world that no longer exists and bring to life the new and vibrant world of Judaism in the 21st century. In Volume Two, leading intellectuals explore and interpret the many different issues at the core of Brenner's photos.
