DIANA: A Crown of Broken Glass

DIANA: A Crown of Broken Glass is an intimate and powerful interactive one-woman play inspired by the life and legacy of Diana, Princess of Wales.Speaking directly to the audience, Diana steps beyond the photographs, headlines, and royal expectations to reflect on the shy young woman she once was, the overwhelming spectacle of her marriage, the loneliness behind palace walls, her struggles with mental health, her fierce love for her sons, and her determination to use her public position to help those whom society had ignored. With honesty, warmth, humor, and vulnerability, Diana examines the difference between a public image and a private life. She challenges the audience to consider the cost of fame, the meaning of compassion, and whether a person can ever truly escape the roles others create for them. The performance concludes with an in-character audience question-and-answer section, allowing Diana to respond thoughtfully to questions about love, motherhood, the press, humanitarian work, and how she wishes to be remembered.Moving, respectful, and deeply human, DIANA: A Crown of Broken Glass is a dramatic portrait of a woman who discovered that tenderness could be an act of courage and that even broken glass can still catch the light.
