Development OF Antifungal OINTMENT from ABUTILON INDICUM LEAF Extract: FORMULATION AND EVALUTION ANTI FUNGAL CONTAINING EXTRACT

The formulation and evaluation of antifungal herbal ointments have gained significant attention due to the rising concerns over synthetic antifungal resistance and side effects. Herbal-based formulations offer a natural, effective, and safer alternative for treating fungal infections. Abutilon indicum Linn., a medicinal plant known for its antimicrobial and antifungal properties, has been traditionally used in various herbal remedies. Incorporating its bioactive compounds into an ointment base can enhance its therapeutic potential by ensuring better penetration and prolonged action at the site of infection. This study focuses on developing and evaluating an antifungal herbal ointment containing Abutilon indicum Linn. extract to assess its efficacy, stability, and pharmaceutical properties.
