This study addresses a current need. Its focus is on the expansion of cassava cultivation across Senegal; maintaining high yields requires the availability of varieties adapted to the local environment and the use of healthy seeds. The use of adapted seeds derived from plant biotechnology, such as cassava vitroplants, presents an opportunity to achieve these objectives. However, the acclimatization of vitroplants upon leaving the laboratory remains a difficult step to master. To this end, we conducted a study to develop an effective acclimatization protocol for cassava vitroplants. The results collected after field planting indicated that vitroplants and plants derived from cuttings exhibited similar survival rates.
