Designing the Purposeful Organization

Effective Leadership has changed significantly in the last few decades. We have moved from "Leaders get things done through others" (the top-down approach that was common last-century and prevails in some organizations even today) to the phrase coined by Clive Wilson "Leaders see a brighter future and consciously create the conditions in which it will happen". The first and most significant of these conditions is a strong sense of purpose, aligned to the needs of the world (our brighter future). There are another eight conditions all of which must be consciously aligned to Purpose: Vision; Engagement; Structure; Character; Results; Success and Talent.
