Decolonizing African Education for Equity and SDG 4 Achievement

The enduring impact of colonial legacies continues to influence education systems across Africa, often undermining efforts toward equity and relevance. This work explores the urgent need to decolonize African education as a foundational step toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which calls for inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all. It critically examines how inherited curricula, language policies, and pedagogical models fail to reflect Africa's diverse cultures, indigenous knowledge systems, and local realities.
