Dearly and Threatening Thane: 5

When the family business is death, how does one handle a dark spirit set on annihilating those who stand in his way of misguided love? Keir Dearly, proprietor of Dearly & Son Funeral Home, has married the love of his life and is ready for the next step-a family. With the impending battle for the Human Realm, is it fair to bring a child into such danger? Dashiell Clegg-Dearly finally plans their honeymoon, and while basking in the Mexican Riviera, an annoying man inserts himself into Dash and Keir's good time. Dash can't get a read on the man, seeing his aura flash from dark to light, which confuses and frustrates the ever-evolving Key. Thane Nyxon's been told he's the driving force for domination of the Human Realm. He's sent to pave the way for the Goddess of Darkness to begin her reign before taking on Lucifer in a battle for the soul of humankind. Sadly, Thane hasn't received all the details concerning his quest to separate the Gatekeeper and the Key. Can Dash discover who sent Thane while learning to battle the forces targeting the couple? Themes include jealous threats; supernatural creatures; and creating a family. Ends in a cliffhanger that's resolved in Book 6.
