Days of the Bagnold Summer begon in 2012 als een bekroonde grafische roman van Joff Winterhart en is nu omgezet naar een speelfilm waarmee Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners, Friday Night Dinner) debuteert als regisseur. De door Belle and Sebastian gemaakte soundtrack voor de film ‘Days Of The Bagnold Summer’ bevat elf gloednieuwe nummers, evenals opnieuw opgenomen versies van de klassiekers ‘Get Me Away From Here I’m Dying’ die oorspronkelijk verscheen op If You’re Feeling Sinister (1996) en ‘I Know Where The Summer Goes’ van This Is Just A Modern Rock Song EP (1998).
