They heard His voice. They witnessed His miracles. They stood at His cross. They came to His empty tomb. And they helped carry His message into the world.Daughters of Faith: Volume Two - Walking with Christ: Women of the New Testament brings the women of the New Testament into the foreground and explores their stories as women of faith whose lives intersected with Jesus Christ and the beginnings of the Christian Church. From Elisabeth and Mary, the mother of Jesus, to the Samaritan woman, Martha, Mary of Bethany, Mary Magdalene, Lydia, Priscilla, Phoebe, Lois, Eunice, and many others, these women encountered circumstances that remain deeply human today. They waited through unanswered prayer. They experienced illness, grief, rejection, shame, uncertainty, and loss. They opened their homes. They supported Christ's ministry. They asked difficult questions. They demonstrated remarkable courage. They remained when others fled. They became witnesses of His resurrection. And after His ascension, women continued serving, teaching, mentoring, and strengthening the growing Christian community.Their stories are ancient. Their struggles are not.Walking with Christ does more than recount what happened. Each chapter asks readers to consider the woman herself: Who was she? What did she face?
