DARDPUR (abode of agony)

"Dardpur" In a genocidal environment the perpetrators impose their community narratives on the victim community so that the place where both of them live, appears to be belonging to the perpetrators. The perpetrators construct all narratives to deny the right of life and belongingness to the place, to the victim community. "Dardpur" is the saga of the process of imposition of these narratives and bloodshed and excruciating pain they lead to. It takes us through process of operation of these narratives and shows us how these narratives entrap even the intelligentsia that also sides with the perpetrator. This empowers the perpetrator to deny the genocide he has committed and furthers the process of genocide. Amid such dehumanizing narratives and the ideologies of moral exclusion, "Dardpur" does not fail to assert that all genocidal narratives can be countered with the unifying narratives of art, culture and spirituality that are integral to the existence of man, shared by all, irrespective of caste, creed and colour.
