The book deals with the species of Turneraceae occurring in a Cerrado fragment in the municipality of Caxias/Maranhão. It presents a species list, identification key and description of the seven species of Turneraceae occurring in the region, geographical distribution, common name, material examined and the main morphological aspects for identifying the species.
