CURDS and WHEY #1: It's All For the Cheddar

In this comedy mystery, It's been a decade since a plague called Offensive Obstruction killed millions worldwide, caused by a new type of cheese known as Uber. Our investigative CURDS (Cheese and Uber Rennet Disposal Service) team battles bad guys in an attempt to keep the Uber cheese off the streets. They are hindered by WHEY, the Worldwide Handlers of Energized Yeast, who promote the spread of Uber. Our team is lead by Helena Montana and her son Billings, who contend with her ex-husband Butte who works for WHEY. This book features three loosely connected stories. The first takes place on a Wisconsin farm, where a large family takes up arms to guard a hoard of suspect cheese they want to sell to the highest bidder. The second sends our team to Paris, where one member of the team receives a grave injury, while the rest contend with a madman who has taken hostages. And the third sends them to London to visit a sick friend only to discover there is more to his situation than meets the eye. Written in a similar style to Jasper Fforde and Janet Evanovich, this is the first of a series. Look for more international adventures with more cheese, more intrigue, and more wacky bad guys.
