He has published widely in cultural studies, including seven books. The most recent book is called The Articulation of Memory and Desire (Guangxi Normal University Press, 2007). His work has been translated into Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Polish, Serbian, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian. He has been a Visiting Professor at the universities of Henan, Vienna and Wuhan.
