Cubico - LP

Cubico is the debut album by Ria Moran, a richly textured exploration of contemporary R&B and neo-soul released in 2025. Across the LP, she blends smooth soulfulness with subtle jazz and alternative influences, creating a warm yet adventurous sound world that highlights her expressive vocals and nuanced production. The songwriting is intimate and introspective, often feeling like pages from a personal journal, as she navigates themes of love, vulnerability, identity and emotional growth with lyrical detail and emotional clarity. This edition appears as a coloured vinyl LP, further underlining its collector-oriented, tactile appeal.Musically, Cubico sits firmly within the R&B and neo-soul genre while drawing on the sophistication of the modern UK jazz scene, resulting in grooves that are both laid-back and rhythmically engaging. The arrangements balance lush harmonies, atmospheric keys and subtle rhythmic shifts, showcasing Moran not only as a singer-songwriter but also as a confident producer and instrumentalist. The album’s sequencing supports a cinematic arc, moving from tender, reflective moods to darker, more moody tones and back to brighter, hopeful colours, giving the record a cohesive emotional journey that rewards full-LP listening, especially in this coloured vinyl format.
