Counting Miracles

Resilience is as much a part of life in Seabrook, a small seaside town, as the tides of the ocean. However, the aftermath of a catastrophic hurricane leaves Lila Hart, a once-famous artist, with nothing but debris and a profound sense of loss. Her belief in miracles has diminished with the storm; her studio is gone, and her creativity feels extinguished. When a volunteer named Caleb Reed uncovers a weathered journal in the debris, everything begins to change. The journal, filled with 99 entries of “miracles”—small, beautiful moments hidden in the mundane—becomes a catalyst for Lila’s reluctant journey of rediscovery. Together, Lila and Caleb set out to uncover the journal’s origins, meeting an array of colorful townsfolk whose stories reveal the extraordinary power of hope, love, and human connection.
