Bill's been a resident of Nevada several times. Beginning in 1999. He lost his sweet job at Triad in Mammoth Lakes and seeks work in Reno. Renting a room at a motel on Virginia a week. He flew from San Diego after splitting an IRS check with his then still wife, Lydia. He walked into the corner upstairs room in the old motel and pulled the Yellow Pages out of the drawer next to the bed. He flipped the pages to Engineering and moved his finger to end of the list. He picked up the phone on the table and dialed. 26 years later he is at the Heritage Park Senior Center in Henderson playing pool and poking keys at a computer in the library at the other end of the hall. While listening to YouTube music. Tonight he sleeps in his 1/4Dome in the desert. The expected storm has changed course. It will be a peaceful if windy night. The dryness of Nevada is good for his failing knee.
